PBO Community Options Project has secured £86,000 funding from The Aspiring Communities Fund, which is supported by the European Social Fund (ESF) and Scottish Government.

The new project will enhance the service currently offered at Parklea Branching Out by enabling provision of a more diverse programme of personal development and skills development.

Additionally the new programme will enhance the range of opportunities to assist local young people in their transition from school, as well as young people looking to develop their skills and future progression on to further training, volunteering or employment.

The first group to take part in the Community Options project and working partnership with Community Learning and Development and Paths for All.  This project will equip the group with the knowledge and practical skills to successfully plan, manage and deliver a community path project  within the Branching Out Gardens that will greatly assist in the development of the new growing and biodiversity garden for future education use of  participants, schools, visitors and community groups.  This project has helped the group develop their team working skills, confidence, and transferrable skills they can take to future employment or further education opportunities.
